This class is about restoring yourself through the quieter practices of yoga. We will begin with study (svadhyaya) of a yogic principle or mantra, followed by a period of gentle movement. We will close with rest. This could be a yoga nidra practice, restorative yoga, breath work (pranayama), or yin yoga. 

Please have at hand props to make yourself comfortable when it comes to our rest practice. For example, a bolster or couch pillow is wonderful, as are blankets and even an eye pillow or scarf to cover your eyes if desired. Please dress comfortably, including a sweater or pullover in case you feel a chill. Socks are often useful to have handy, particularly for yoga nidra. A notebook and pen are great for taking notes in the study portion, as well. We will mostly be working from the Yoga Sutras but could be studying something else.
