The Series Architect: From Single Flow to Multi Week Journey
An 8-Hour Continuing Education Intensive for Yoga Teachers with Kelsey Konsen

Do you ever feel like you’re on a “sequencing treadmill,” constantly scrambling to invent a
brand-new, flashy flow for every single class? This 8-hour intensive aims to transform the way you approach your curriculum. We move away from the pressure of one-off classes and toward the depth of intentional series design. By taking a single well-crafted class and expanding it into a cohesive multi week journey, you will reclaim your creative energy while giving your students the gift of true skill-building and embodied progress. You'll get 8 hours of Continuing Education with the Yoga Alliance for this program.

Why This Course?
For the Teacher: Reduce Burnout, Spark Longevity
  • Creative Efficiency: Learn how to work smarter, not harder by using a single "Big Idea" as the foundation for multiple classes.
  • Confidence in the Seat: Eliminate the Sunday-night challenge of "what am I teaching tomorrow?" with a clear, strategic roadmap already in place.
  • Artistic Renewal: Rediscover your voice by diving deep into specific frameworks (Skill, Pose, Theme, or Intensity) that interest you, rather than chasing trends.
For the Student: Deeper Learning & Tangible Success
  • Skill Mastery: Give your students the repetition they need to understand a pose. Long-form sequencing allows for the incremental layers of strength and mobility that a single 60-minute class cannot provide.
  • The Power of Familiarity: Repetition builds confidence. When students recognize a sequence, they can move out of their thinking brain and deeper into the experience of the practice.
  • Visible Progress: Students stay motivated when they can feel themselves getting stronger and more mobile over a dedicated multi class arc.
What We Will Cover
  • The Blueprint for Breakdown: Participate in a 75-minute master practice and then "reverse-engineer" it to see the architecture behind the flow.
  • Identifying Your "Big Idea": Move past generic cues. Learn to pinpoint the specific anatomical, philosophical, or functional focus that will anchor your series.
  • The 4 Frameworks of Sequencing: Master the use of Skill-Based, Pose-Based, Theme-Based, and Intensity-Based models to keep your teaching diverse yet focused.
  • Pose Anatomy & Component Parts: Learn to "rip a pose apart" to understand its requirements (What needs to open? What needs to be strengthen?) and how to layer those elements over several weeks.
  • The Arc of the Series: Design a multi week curriculum using the Foundation →Development → Integration model, ensuring your students are supported at every stage.
Course Objectives
By the end of this day, you will be able to:
1. Clarify a "Big Idea" that resonates with your unique teaching style.
2. Develop a multi-week series that builds logically from week to week.
3. Select the most effective framework to serve your students’ specific goals.
4. Articulate the "Why" behind your transitions and drills to deepen student buy-in.
5. Leave with a fully sketched multi week series ready to be implemented in your next
class cycle.
