Rest as Ritual is an invitation to experience yoga nidra not merely as a technique, but as an experiential doorway into the deepest states of consciousness. This immersion with beloved teacher Rhia Robinson guides you beyond understanding into intimacy with the practice—where deep rest becomes a sacred act, and stillness a form of knowing. Rooted in tradition, the curriculum explores the essential foundations of yoga nidra while gently leading you into its subtler dimensions: preparation, healing, transformation, self-inquiry, the power of sankalpa (sacred resolve) and yoga nidra as a spiritual path. Through embodied exploration, you will increasingly enter the true state of yoga nidra—where spacious awareness, presence, and profound restoration unfold naturally.

Designed for those seeking an alternative to seated meditation—and a deeper approach to nervous system regulation, recovery and well-being—this experience weaves together contemplative wisdom and embodied practice. For those who wish to share this work, the final (optional) session offers practical tools to transmit yoga nidra with authenticity, depth and grace.

Rest becomes ritual, presence becomes medicine, and transmission becomes a living expression of the state itself. This immersion is not about reading scripts or performing relaxation; it is the art of guiding yourself and others into the deepest layers of consciousness, where healing, clarity and renewal arise.

You will explore:

• Distinct intentions and applications of yoga nidra practice
• Skillful preparation as the foundation for deep states of rest
• Subtle body maps, including the Vedantic model of the mind and the koshas
• The four states of consciousness and their relationship to brainwave patterns
• The art and architecture of yoga nidra sequencing
